Rocks are formed when grains with materials are combined with minerals found in nature. They make up the majority of the Earth's crust. They greatly vary in their hardness, size and texture. Rocks were first used as tools for hunting and defense, and very commonly used as building materials. Rocks define the natural landscapes in our planet based on the tectonic effects and weathering.

- Igneous Rocks (formed directly from liquid rock);
- Metamorphic Rocks (formed by direct alteration of existing rocks) and;
- Sedimentary Rocks (formed by eroded materials from other rocks).
